A Day at Blake Gardens

I took the nicest family to Blake Garden in Kensington for a photo shoot the other day.  If you’ve never been to Blake Garden, I encourage you to do so.  The garden and a magnificent mansion is the official home for the President of the University of California.  It’s open to the public during weekday hours.  You can go for a wonder in the redwood grove, stroll among the flowering formal garden, picnic on the great lawn or climb on a massive rock and enjoy the Bay view.

Mary, Dan, Matthew and I tried out a few different places for our shoot.  Since 2 year olds like to move around, we played and had a good time.  I love Matthew’s curiosity and his playfulness.  In addition to having a fun time, I like how the portraits are free-flowing and capture the day and the energy of the time-of-life of this family.
