Having a portrait studio on Solano Ave. in Berkeley allows me an easy opportunity to meet my neighboring business owners. The other day I had the pleasure of photographing Carol Fabretti, owner of Shoes on Solano. Shoes on Solano is a successful fashion shoe store that has anchored the block for many years. They just opened a new Rockridge location on College Ave., Oakland.

As the owner, Carol is also in charge of marketing her stores. She knew it was time to update her business headshot for social media and marketing. We took a variety of photos with her in different outfits and with and without glasses to get a few different looks. Now Carol can change her photo on LinkedIn, FaceBook and other social media to keep it fresh and garner attention when she changes her photo. Her contacts will be notified with, “Carol has changed her profile picture” which then drives people to her site to see and comment on her new photo. So, besides just wanting a variety of great new headshots, it’s good business to own and change your profile photo on a regular basis.
